Ombuds Office
The Ombuds Office is a confidential, impartial, informal, and independent resource for Florida Tech students, faculty, and staff to discuss questions or concerns related to the University and review possible options for potential resolution.
How does an Ombuds help a visitor?
- Provide a respectful, "safe," and "humanized" place for discussion and reflection
- Brainstorm options for possible resolution
- Facilitate conversations or informal mediations
- Refer to appropriate campus resources
- Explain University policies and procedures;
- Conduct training in communication and other skills
- Communicate with university officials on behalf of the office visitor, if permitted
